The San Remo was constructed by architect Emery Roth, finished a few months before the crisis of 1929. A neo-classical-styled building, it is renowned for its twin towers, each topped by a baroque dome. The building has been occupied by numerous celebrities, such as Steven Spielberg, Donna Karan, Steve Jobs, Demi Moore, Dustin Hoffman, Bono or Bruce Willis.
