Since 1880, Upper East Side has been the chic quarter of Manhattan. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the area has seen the growth of luxurious buildings, grandiose residential palaces and even real small castles owned by the New Yorker business tycoons, rich industrialists and the famous families of the city. Even until today, it still remains one of the most expensive, the most classy zone of New York, especially around Lennox Hill, between the 60th and the 79th Streets. It’s the place where elegant streets bordered by standing buildings with enormous lobbies and uniformed doormen, the finest restaurants and art galleries.
