This long place at the intersection between Broadway and the 7th Avenue was once called Long Acre Square. Then, it was bordered by rental and saddlery stables. Its actual name comes from the Times Building, constructed at the beginning of the 20th century in its southern part. The most crowded, the most famous place in New York, Times Square is the real center, the real heart of Manhattan’s daytime and night activities.
