Bethesda Terrace marks the Park’s center. It was designed by Calvert Vaux, overhanging the lake, in a classical style contrasting the rustic spirit dominating the Park’s ensemble. In the middle of this vast place flows the fountain called Angel of the Water, an artwork by Emma Stebbins, one of the 48 fountains and sculptures within the Central Park.This photo has been viewed 3393 times
