On the 72th Street, architect Henri Hardenbergh, who previously designed the Plaza Hotel, constructed the Dakota Building between 1882 and 1884. The name was chosen due to its far location at the time of its construction, just like both Dakota States were far from New York.This photo has been viewed 386 times
