Battery Park, simply called The Battery by the New Yorkers, extends on the southernmost point of Manhattan. A magnificent esplanade allowing you to walk along the Upper Bay of New York. It had been here, indeed, that the first Dutch colonies settled down in the 16th Century. Wall Street, a narrow street extending between Broadway and the East River, was once the northern limit of New Amsterdam, during the time of the Dutch. Today the street is worldly renowned for being the headquarters of the New York Stock Exchange.
